About · Status workflow
For when it’s on you, not the kid.
Sometimes an assignment can't move forward until you talk to the teacher — a grading dispute, a missing attachment, a question about the rubric. Email Teacher parks it there so the kid view doesn't keep nagging.
Email Teacher is the polite admission that not every assignment is a kid problem. When you tap it, the card stops showing up as Missing on the kid’s side — your student isn’t being nagged about something that’s technically waiting onyou.
On the parent dashboard, Email Teacher assignments collect in their own small bucket. You can sweep through them on a Tuesday lunch break, send the emails you owe, then flip the status to Follow-Ups until you hear back or Verified once it’s sorted out.
Pearsight doesn’t send the email for you (yet). It just keeps track of which ones you owe and stops the dashboard from treating them as homework debt. The note you leave on the assignment carries into the email when you’re ready to write it.
