About · Student side
One scan, your kid’s view everywhere.
Pearsight generates a QR code from the parent dashboard. Your kid points the camera, the browser opens with their pared-down view, and the device remembers the link for the rest of the school year.
From the parent dashboard, open the kid’s settings and tap Pair a device. Pearsight displays a QR code on screen. Your kid opens the camera app on their Chromebook, tablet, or phone, points at the code, and taps the link that appears. The browser loads their dashboard with no login screen.
The pairing link is unique to that kid and that device. If your student moves to a different device (the Chromebook stayed at school, they want to check on their phone), generate a fresh QR from the dashboard and pair the new one. Old pairings keep working until you revoke them.
QR pairing skips the app store entirely. Pearsight is a web app — same URL on every device, no install, no separate password for your kid to manage. The pairing link lives in a long-lived browser cookie so they don’t see a login on every visit.
