Every assignment row in Pearsight has a single status pill. Tap it and a popover offers the six options below. Pick one; the dashboard saves instantly and the pill color updates across every view — list, calendar, timeline, and the paired student device.
Not Started
On the dashboard but not yet touched. The neutral default Canvas hands us.
In Progress
Started but not finished. Either parent or student can set this.
Done in Class
Finished during the school day. Nobody needs to ask about it tonight.
Verified
Parent has looked at the finished work; it's good to go.
Email Teacher
Something needs a teacher conversation — surfaces in the Follow-Ups collection.
Redo Needed
Grade came back lower than expected; flagged for another pass.
