About · Parent dashboard

The dashboard’s sandbox.

The List View is where you bend Pearsight to the way you actually think about school. Every filter, every sort, every grouping — combined in one view that the URL remembers for you.

The List View opens with every filter the other views offer plus a few extras: grade-letter buckets, last-status-changed-by, day-of-week due, and date-range pickers. Combine three or four to carve out the slice you actually care about — say, Maeve’s missing math assignments from this term, sorted by recency.

Once you’ve built a view you like, the URL holds it. Bookmark the page and you’re back where you left off. Share it with a co-parent and they see the same filtered slice — useful when one parent owns “the math situation” and the other owns “the science thing.”

The List View doesn’t replace Today, Calendar, or Timeline — it complements them. Most parents keep Today as their go-to and use the List View for specific check-ins (the weekend cleanup, the late-week sweep, a tutor handoff).

Key facts

  • Every filter — kid, class, status, day-of-week, grade letter, date range.
  • URL-encoded — bookmark or share specific configurations.
  • Sort + group-by-kid for caregiver hand-offs.
  • Complements (not replaces) Today / Calendar / Timeline.
Your saved view — one term, one filter set.

Pearsight is a direct-to-consumer parent dashboard purchased by parents on behalf of their K-12 children. Although we may integrate as an institutional vendor or store a school-wide database it is only in those cases that we would require a district DPA (Data Privacy Agreement). Individual parents utilize their own FERPA-guaranteed right of access to authenticate their personal Canvas observer account. We do not sell, track, or re-disclose student data. The paying parent (18+) creates the family account, which constitutes verifiable parental consent under COPPA. Children do not sign up directly — their access is parent guided. Pearsight aligns with all global privacy standards and children protection standards, including GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, PECR, PIPEDA, SOPIPA, COPPA, and FERPA. See Privacy and Security for our full data-handling stance.
